The stock market Bangladesh has returned to a positive trend

The stock market Bangladesh has been on a positive trend for two consecutive weeks in the new year. Statement of Salman F Rahman, private industry and investment adviser to the prime minister about Stock Market Bangladesh

However, Salman F Rahman, private industry and investment adviser to the prime minister, said there was still weakness in the capital market as institutional investors were not active in the capital market. He was speaking as the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the Beximco Green Sukuk Bond transaction at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) Multipurpose Hall on Thursday (January 13).

Salman F Rahman said institutional investors contribute the most to a stable market. The participation of retail investors is low. But here we have the opposite. Here the investment of retail investors is more, the participation of institutional investors is less. He noted that in addition to institutional investment, the bond market needs to be strengthened. He said the bond market is stronger than the equity market in all stock markets of the world. The bond market is larger or equal to the equity. But here we have the opposite. Now new products are coming. There is diversity in the capital market. But we don’t have that in our market.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Bank has written to the banks asking how much money or undistributed and unclaimed dividends have been paid by the banks in the Capital Market Stabilization Fund (CMSF). It has been asked to send this information by January 18.

Earlier, on July 1 last year, the capital market gazette was issued to form a stable fund. According to BSEC sources, about Tk 400 crore has been deposited in the fund so far.
