A young woman in Andhra Pradesh, India, has allegedly stabbed her fianc in the neck and seriously injured him. This was stated in the report of NDTV online on Tuesday quoting Andhra Pradesh police. The injured was identified as Ramu Naidu. He is a scientist at the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).
Police say the knife wound left a deep wound on Ramu’s neck. He was admitted to the hospital. The young woman who allegedly stabbed Ramu in the neck was named Pushpa. The 22-year-old dropped out of school.
Police say that Pushpa’s parents like Ramu as a pot for their daughter. Pushpa’s marriage with Ramu is fixed next month. But Pushpa was reluctant to marry Ramu, the favorite of her parents. According to the police, the bride-to-be, Pushpa, called Ramu to a local hilltop, saying that she would meet him in a ‘surprise’ meeting. Later, Pushpa stabbed Ramu in the neck near a temple on the top of a hill. Ramu was seriously injured in the stabbing.
